King High Line Multi-Use Path

Toronto, ON

The King Highline Project is a pedestrian pathway that runs along the rail corridor in Liberty Village, Toronto. The project required the specialized skills and techniques of Feature Walters to achieve the desired finished look, using pre-weathered corten steel, stainless steel and galvanized steel which enhances the main finishes along the path.

Our Role

Feature Walters role was the supply and install of corten wall panels, wire mesh look-outs, planter boxes, stainless steel handrail, and wire mesh fencing.

Facts & Figures

  • 104m of planters
  • Four corten paneled lookouts
  • Corten panels on the crash wall
  • Four stainless steel circular viewing ports
  • Stainless steel handrail and Omega fencing

Overcoming Challenges

This project had a very aggressive schedule and is on a very small footprint. Steel was required to be delivered JIT (just in time), as there was no laydown room. Part of the pathway needed to remain open as an emergency exit so our equipment and team had to work in a tight space.
